Exhibitions

From its establishment in 1964, the Museum has a long tradition in organizing folklore and historical exhibitions, such as the following:

-How Asia Minor Died: Exhibition about the Asia Minor Campaign and Destruction, from the historical archive of Konstantinos Faltaits (Athens and Skyros).

-An exhibition dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Balkan wars end (1913)

-An exhibition of works of art by Elli Solomonidou

-Permanent exhibition of works of art by Manos Faltaits

-Permanent exhibition of objects inspired by tradition and of modern creations

-Exhibition of tools and objects from Greece's traditional economy

-Exhibition of drawings and paintings by the Skyrian folk artist Yiannoulis Babousis

-Exhibition of Kostas Faltaits memorabilia and manuscripts (1974)

-Exhibition of paintings of Skyros (1966)

-Exhibition of contemporary Skyrian folk art (1965)

-In 2015 the Museum organized events dedicated to the British Poet Rupert Brooke, on the occasion of the centennial of his death, while during the Rebetiko Seminar an exhibition was held, dedicated to the contribution of Konstantinos Faltaits in researching the rebetika songs.
