Traditional furniture and other wood-carved objects are a prominent feature in the Museum's halls. The island has a long tradition in wood-carving and the Skyrian wood-carved furniture are the greatest creation in this field.
Among the wood-carved items found in the Museum are:
-Old Skyrian creations (mainly small chairs and tripods)
-Works by the Skyrian popular artist Yiannoulis Babousis
-Specimens of the wooden furniture designed by Maria Faltaits, which for decades were known in Greece as "Skyrian-Byzantine" furniture .
-Parts of wood-carved icon-stands from churches, which have been integrated into the Museum's halls.
-A large number of trunks and chests, sea chests, wooden boxes, iron-bound chests, chests adorned with mother-of-pearl, with wood-carved presentations, with painted presentations as well as detachable trunks used by the nomadic tribes of Greece.
